Our Philosophy

BARNA is a Western Pahari word meaning Wild Ferns.

This is a perfect expression of our lifestyle at Forest Wine BARNA, where we embrace both simplicity and sustainability as our main approach to create sophisticated wines with a real sense of place.

Nature is the dominant force in our winemaking approach. Sourcing local, fresh and organic produce gives us a good starting point to make premium wines. The quality of Forest Wine BARNA has always been based on a commitment of selecting the finest fruit.

The winery is in the heart of Himachal Pradesh and by sourcing from local farmers we believe BARNA truly represents the purity of our land and people.

Each wine has distinctive notes and is treated differently from one another through creative approaches to fermentation. We believe in responsible winemaking practices that are true to its character and origin.
